The Boomers Strike Back
We all know there is little policy difference between Senator Obama and Senator Clinton and that
all Americans will be better off when we are rid of the evil Cheney regime, except for the neo-cons, of course,
who stand to lose their blood-for-oil profits. Naturally, the Clinton campaign insists that Hillary is
older
& wiser and, while that is a strong argument for her, we obviously disagree. We believe that
younger & fresher is the order of the day and that it's not as much about experience (especially
Washington experience) than it is about leadership style, something that is partly attributable to the times that
shaped the leader.*
This site was conceived to present the case for why this generational difference in management style makes Senator Obama the stronger candidate. It's been tough because we actually like Hillary and will certainly support her to the max if she gets the nod. If Senator Obama gets the nod, the focus of this site will be changed to debunking the predictable and incessant stream of lies and campaign non-issues manufactured by the Karl Rove School of Vicious Attacks Division of the Good Old White Boys Club (uh-huh, we're allowed to say it cuz we're white) and exposing the incredible hypocrisy of John W. McSame, which is no big stretch.
In the meantime, we're getting some righteous flak from Boomers who have accused us of stereotyping them. In true GenX fashion, we will not duck from this criticism because: |

we believe that, in America, all opinions should be heard (except those of neo-cons, EVILangelicals, limbaughzombies, hate-mongering racists, and other McCain fans who, by their own admission,
do not believe in equal opportunities for all Americans, or the U.S. Constitution, and whose opinions have been rendered totally irrelevant anyway, due to the turn of the century). |

We want to reiterate that our message is that we are over "preachy Boomer politics" not you actual Boomers, and that the intended audience of this site is people in their 30s plus or minus a few years who can see the Boomer forest for the trees.
We also defend our stance that passionate & radical generations such as the 20th Century Baby Boomers produce bad leaders and this is more responsible for the utter breakdown of law and order in Washington than the Dem/GOP divide.*
Everyone's wondering why the Democratic Congress hasn't achieved much since they gained the majority in '06. Yes, of course, it's partially the evil GOP and its Congressional Klingons,
all working hard to stifle the will of the American people, but just as some food for thought: Boomers have held the White House for sixteen years, the current average age
of a Senator is 62, and of a Congressperson, 57.

It tells us that Boomers have been in power for twenty years and, in that time, have not only failed to make a dent in solving the problems that plagued our nation when we were kids in the 70s and 80s, but have made these problems catastrophically worse. They have set our nation on a course for failure and if you don't believe that a once-proud global superpower like The United States of America can fail, maybe it's time for a refresher course in world history (The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire would be a good place to start.)

Just so ya know: we will be sticking with our "preachy Boomer politics" tagline until the Democratic Nomination is settled.

| This will suit us just fine because it will be way more useful (and fun :) going after the real threat to the future of America, which is the Insane McCain War Machine, its lemming supporters, and its ludicrous platform that we will bomb, bomb, bomb sovereign nations into accepting American-style democracy, so they can claim ownership of the oil while boosting the earnings of their war profiteer pals. |

If Senator Clinton is the Nominee, we will be replacing the home page with "VOTE FOR HILLARY" in the biggest font we can fit, next to the most flattering photo of her we can find.
Unlike Hillary's most passionate supporters – i.e. those who have vowed to vote for Bush v.2 if Hillary is out and will NEVER admit that they are wrong (dare we say it? Boomers?) – we GenXers get that what matters most in this election is not Hillary vs. Barack, but taking back the country that we love from the Neocon War Profiteer and EVILangelical Blood-for-Oil Party (formerly known as Republican Party). |
