Our Personal Plea to Ron Paul Fans
We totally get why you guys support Ron Paul, the only GOP candidate who has spoken a word of sense since this marathon of a presidential contest started. We understand that in closed primaries you must vote GOP, and it is very impressive how well he's done in these primaries thanks to you (and we LOVED the blimp idea).
Come November, though, you face a different choice. We know many of you are committed to 'writing-in' Ron Paul. To us, this indicates that you would rather waste your vote than take a stand, and we think you have more stones than that. If this is true, then please read on.
We are so committed to CRUSHING the idea of four more years of Bush (who we know you think is as totally incompetent as we do) that we are personally financing this website. Our primary arguments for Senator Obama are as follows:
| 1 |
The cause of the quagmire in Washington is that the preachy freakin' Boomers make the worst politicians this country has ever seen and this fact is more responsible for the quagmire in Washington than the GOP/Dem divide. The passionate-to-a-fault Radical 60s Generation has got to go in favor of cooler heads - i.e. Generation X in the person of Senator Barack Obama. |

Spending young lives and INSANE dollars trying to bring democracy to a stone-age country that doesn't even want it is NOT the way to defeat the terrorists. This scourge can (and will) be defeated when we go after the REAL enemy: the financial backers of Al Queda, the oil-producing countries of the Middle East. Like us (and everyone else in their 40s), Senator Obama witnessed the two (count 'em, two) oil crises of the 70s in his formative years, and understands this to be the singular mission-critical objective for the future of our country. We know you guys despise huge government-run social programs, so do we actually, but that's part of the package. You might actually get a kick out of the Nameless Genx Blog posting on this HealthCare stuff. Please also keep in mind that the GOP is every bit as likely to raise your taxes anyway, as in "read my lips" – especially if the Iraq War drags on for twenty years (or more, as Senator McCain has stated).
Then, of course, there's the possibility of some more non-winnable wars coming your way real soon.
And when they run out of military volunteers... well, let's just say: are YOU registered for the Selective Service?
Senator McCain was and always will be an honorable war hero, but now he is an outdated, political throwback to the Cold War mentality – exactly the wrong approach to the problems that face America
in the 21st century. Come November...
YOU CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIOUS VOTE FOR
FOUR MORE YEARS
OF THE VILLAGE IDIOT BUSH IN THE FORM OF JOHN McCAIN !!!
You guys can flame us*, call us liberal pukeheads, trash us behind our backs... like, whatever...
We GenXers invented the flame back in the day of VAXmail and are immune to this, which is
why
you are hearing so much media babble about how "unflappable" Senator Obama is.

One exception: if your flames include racist slurs or references to "Hussein" then you are, obviously, hopeless. |
